The Tunica Air Races was a public/private partnership developed by entreprenuer Jeff Landers.

Organized in just four months the Tunica Air Races welcomed over 20,000 fans from across the nation to the Tunica Airport, just a few miles from the casinos in Tunica, Mississippi.  In addition to air show performers, three classes raced, the Unlimited Class, T-6 and Sport Class. The plan was to continue with the races in 2006, however the local goverment and casino support moved toward bringing in PanAm to the Tunica Airport for scheduled service and the race was cancelled in 2006.  PanAm's service lasted less than four months before they pulled out of Tunica.
